Terms of Service — MyProviders Help Center

These Terms of Service (the “Terms” or this “Agreement”) are an agreement between you and MyProviders Family LLC (“MyProviders,” “we,” or “us”), the operator of myproviders.org and its related websites, applications, and services (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

As used in these Terms, “you” means any visitor or user who accesses the Services, whether or not you create an account.

Please read Section 18 (Disclaimer of Warranties), Section 19 (Limitation of Liability), and Section 21 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution) carefully. They limit our liability to you and govern how disputes between us are resolved.

1. What MyProviders Is

MyProviders is an online directory. We publish information about pediatric therapy practices and the clinicians who work in them — physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and related specialists (each, a “Provider”) — so that you can find and evaluate them yourself.

We do not provide healthcare. MyProviders Family LLC is not a clinic, a medical or therapy practice, a referral service, or an insurance company. Every Provider in the directory is an independent business. We do not employ them, supervise them, or act as their agent, and they do not act as ours.

We do not tell you which Provider to choose. Publishing information about a Provider is not a referral, a recommendation, or an endorsement of that Provider — and neither is a search result, rating, badge, tagline, or suggestion produced by the Services. Our role is to show you what we know so that you can decide. The choice, and the responsibility for it, is yours; Section 4 explains what that means in practice.

2. We Do Not Provide Medical Advice

ALL CONTENT AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICES — INCLUDING PROVIDER LISTINGS, SPECIALTY AND SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS, SEARCH RESULTS, REVIEWS, ARTICLES, TAGLINES, AND ANY OUTPUT OF OUR AI FEATURES — IS FOR GENERAL INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, ASSESSMENT, OR TREATMENT, AND IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL, THERAPEUTIC, OR CLINICAL JUDGMENT.

NOTHING AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICES IS INTENDED TO BE, OR MAY BE TAKEN TO BE, THE PRACTICE OF MEDICINE, NURSING, PHYSICAL THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY, OR ANY OTHER LICENSED PROFESSION. ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL WITH ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT A MEDICAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL CONDITION. NEVER DISREGARD OR DELAY SEEKING PROFESSIONAL ADVICE BECAUSE OF SOMETHING YOU READ ON THE SERVICES.

DO NOT USE THE SERVICES FOR EMERGENCIES. IF YOU OR YOUR CHILD IS EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH EMERGENCY, CALL 911 OR GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY.

3. No Provider–Patient Relationship

NO THERAPIST–PATIENT, DOCTOR–PATIENT, OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT RELATIONSHIP IS CREATED BETWEEN YOU AND MYPROVIDERS BY YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, AND NONE IS CREATED BETWEEN YOU AND ANY PROVIDER MERELY BECAUSE YOU FOUND THAT PROVIDER THROUGH THE SERVICES. A relationship with a Provider is formed only between you and that Provider, directly, outside the Services.

We do not control and cannot guarantee any Provider’s availability, responsiveness, scheduling, pricing, or quality of care. We are not responsible for any act or omission of any Provider, including any injury, loss, or harm arising from care you obtain from a Provider you found through the Services.

4. Choosing a Provider Is Your Responsibility

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR SELECTING YOUR OWN PROVIDER AND FOR DETERMINING WHETHER THAT PROVIDER IS APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR CHILD’S NEEDS, INCLUDING BY EVALUATING THEIR SPECIALTY, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND LICENSURE.

We strongly encourage you to independently verify any information that matters to your decision, directly with the Provider’s office and with the applicable state licensing board, certification body, or professional association, before engaging a Provider.

Our directory is not exhaustive. Providers who meet your criteria may not appear in the Services, and Providers listed in the Services may have availability, services, or credentials beyond what we display. The order and presentation of search results is determined by factors that may include location, specialty, services, insurance, ratings, and completeness of listing data, and does not reflect any judgment by us about the quality of a Provider.

5. Listing Information and Its Accuracy

Information about Providers (“Listing Content”) is provided for general reference only. Listing Content may be supplied by the Provider or their staff, or collected from other sources that the Provider has not confirmed. Listing Content changes frequently and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate at any time.

We make no representation or warranty regarding any Listing Content, including any description of a Provider’s credentials, licensure, certifications, specialties, experience, services, availability, location, pricing, or quality of care. We do not certify, verify, or vouch for any Provider’s qualifications. In no event are we liable for any decision you make or action you take in reliance on Listing Content.

6. Insurance Information

Any insurance-related information shown through the Services — including whether a Provider accepts insurance generally, and which plans or payers a Provider is shown as accepting — is provided for general reference and convenience only. Insurance participation changes frequently and may become inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date without notice.

We make no guarantee and disclaim all warranties that any insurance information shown through the Services is correct or current. You must confirm coverage, network participation, and your own financial responsibility directly with the Provider and with your insurance plan before receiving services. You remain solely responsible for all costs of any care you receive, including copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and any amounts not covered by your plan.

7. AI-Powered Features

Parts of the Services use artificial intelligence (the “AI Features”), and may rely on third-party AI providers. When you use an AI Feature, the text you submit is transmitted to those providers so that a response can be generated.

Our search assistant. The search assistant helps you identify which therapy services or specialties to search for in our directory.

THE SEARCH ASSISTANT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND IS USED AT YOUR OWN RISK. ITS OUTPUT IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, IS NOT A DIAGNOSIS, ASSESSMENT, OR EVALUATION OF ANY CHILD, AND IS NOT A REFERRAL, RECOMMENDATION, OR ENDORSEMENT OF ANY PROVIDER. IT MAY PRODUCE OUTPUT THAT IS INCOMPLETE, INACCURATE, OR WRONG. IT IS NOT MONITORED BY A CLINICIAN, IT IS NOT AN EMERGENCY OR CRISIS SERVICE, AND IT MUST NOT BE USED FOR URGENT MEDICAL NEEDS. IF YOU BELIEVE YOUR CHILD NEEDS URGENT CARE, CALL 911 OR YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER.

Please do not enter clinical details, medical records, or other sensitive health information about a child into the search assistant. You only need to tell us what kind of service you are looking for.

Listing drafting tools. We also offer optional AI tools that Providers may use to help draft their own listing copy, such as a tagline. Any text produced by these tools is a suggestion only: the Provider reviews it, may edit it, and chooses whether to publish it. Content a Provider publishes to their listing is the Provider’s own content and the Provider’s responsibility, and Section 12 applies to it.

If you access the Services through an automated agent, assistant, crawler, or similar tool, all activity conducted through that tool is treated as your own, and you are responsible for it.

8. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, and have the capacity to form a binding contract, to use the Services. The Services are not directed to children, and children may not use the Services or create an account.

If you use the Services on behalf of a child, you represent and warrant that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian (or are otherwise authorized to act on their behalf) and that you agree to these Terms on your own behalf and on theirs.

You may need an account to use some features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current registration information, and to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. If you sign in through a third-party service, that service’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to you.

The Services are operated in the United States and intended for users in the United States.

9. Acceptable Use

You may use the Services only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree that you will not:

post or submit content that is false, misleading, unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or that violates anyone’s privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights;
impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a Provider;
scrape, crawl, harvest, index, cache, or otherwise collect Listing Content or any other part of the Services by automated means, or use the Services to build or train any dataset, database, product, or model, in each case without our prior written permission;
use the Services in a way that damages, disables, overburdens, or impairs them, or interferes with anyone else’s use of them;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other users’ accounts, or our systems, or circumvent any access control, rate limit, or security measure; or
use the Services for any commercial purpose, including advertising, solicitation, or lead generation, without our prior written permission.

We may take any technical or legal measures we consider appropriate to prevent and enforce violations of this Section.

10. Additional Rules for Providers and Others in the Industry

If you are a Provider, or work for or with a Provider, or otherwise operate in the healthcare or therapy industry, you additionally agree that you will not:

write, solicit, incentivize, trade, or otherwise arrange for any review or rating that does not reflect a genuine, first-hand experience — this includes reviewing your own practice, reviewing a competitor, and offering anything of value in exchange for a review;
manipulate, inflate, or suppress review, rating, or ranking data by any means;
access or use Listing Content, ratings, or other data from the Services for competitive research, lead generation, or any purpose other than managing your own listing; or
use the Services to coordinate pricing, service offerings, or market allocation with any other Provider, or otherwise engage in anti-competitive, deceptive, or unfair practices.

11. Reviews and Content You Submit

You may be able to submit reviews, ratings, photos, and other content through the Services (“Your Content”). You are solely responsible for Your Content.

Reviews must reflect your own genuine, first-hand experience, must not be false or fraudulent, and must comply with Section 9. Reviews and other user-submitted content reflect the views of the person who wrote them and not the views of MyProviders. We do not verify, endorse, or confirm the accuracy of any review.

We may — but have no obligation to — review, moderate, edit, refuse to publish, or remove any of Your Content, at any time and for any reason, including content we believe violates these Terms. We assume no liability for Your Content or for any claim arising from it.

You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable, transferable, irrevocable, perpetual license to host, store, use, copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, publish, publicly display, and distribute Your Content in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Services. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license.

If you send us feedback, comments, or suggestions about the Services, we may use them for any purpose without restriction, obligation, or compensation to you.

12. Provider Listings and Claimed Listings

A Provider may appear in the directory based on information we collect from public and third-party sources, whether or not that Provider has claimed their listing.

If you claim or manage a Provider listing, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to act on behalf of that Provider or practice, and you agree that all information you submit will be accurate, current, and not misleading, and that you will keep it up to date. We may verify a claim, and we may suspend, revoke, or remove a claim or a listing at any time, including if we believe it was claimed or edited by someone without authority.

If you are a Provider and wish to correct or remove your listing, contact us at support@myproviders.org and we will respond within a reasonable time.

13. Intellectual Property

The Services and their content — other than Your Content and Listing Content supplied by others — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to view and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms. Except as expressly allowed in these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of the Services. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

14. Copyright Complaints

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice containing the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated agent:

We may remove content we believe to be infringing and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

15. Third-Party Links, Services, and Maps

The Services contain links to and content from third parties, including Provider websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, services, or content, and we do not endorse them. Your dealings with any third party you find through the Services are solely between you and that third party.

The Services use Google Maps. By using the Services, you also agree to be bound by the Google Terms of Service, and you acknowledge that your use of Google Maps is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

16. Privacy; No Protected Health Information

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information, and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you agree to it.

MyProviders is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate, and the Services are not a secure channel for health information. Do not submit protected health information, clinical records, or sensitive details about a child’s medical condition through the Services, including in reviews or through our AI search assistant. Any information you submit is handled under our Privacy Policy, not under HIPAA.

17. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time, and you may ask us to close your account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Termination may result in deletion of content associated with your account.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 2 through 7, 11, and 13 through 22.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT — INCLUDING LISTING CONTENT, INSURANCE INFORMATION, REVIEWS, AND AI-GENERATED OUTPUT — IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, OR CURRENT.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES. IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), WILL MYPROVIDERS OR ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES — INCLUDING ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE ACTS, OMISSIONS, NEGLIGENCE, OR MALPRACTICE OF ANY PROVIDER YOU FOUND THROUGH THE SERVICES — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

20. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MyProviders and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to your use of the Services, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or of any third party’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services that is not subject to arbitration (if applicable) will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services must be brought within one (1) year after it arises, or it is permanently barred, except where a longer period is required by law.

22. General

Changes to these Terms. We may change these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email or an in-product notice. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Services after that means you accept them. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.

Changes to the Services. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

Electronic agreement. Your use of the Services, and your creation of an account, constitute your electronic signature to these Terms and your agreement to transact with us electronically.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign them, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms we post, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements.

Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
